We’re excited to share one of our latest completed builds—a fully customized Trex composite deck that blends timeless style with modern functionality. From the materials to the finishing touches, every part of this project was thoughtfully designed and carefully constructed to create a seamless outdoor living space our clients can enjoy year-round.
The deck features a striking two-tone colour palette using Trex’s Biscayne and Salt boards. This combo allowed us to create crisp mitred picture-framed borders that define the space with clean lines and strong contrast. We carried this attention to detail through the fully enclosed skirting and custom staircase framing, giving the deck a polished, cohesive look from every angle. It’s not just a deck—it’s a complete backyard upgrade.
But aesthetics weren’t the only focus. Underneath the surface, we installed JoistGuard to protect the framing and help extend the life of the substructure. It’s a small step that makes a big difference in long-term durability—especially with Ontario’s unpredictable weather. We also future-proofed the build with a gas line hookup, perfectly positioned for a future fireplace or outdoor heater, allowing the homeowners to extend their outdoor season comfortably.
One of the biggest highlights of this build is the integrated lighting system. We installed 25 smart deck lights throughout the structure, strategically placed along the perimeter and into every stair riser. These aren’t just any lights—they’re fully app-controlled, giving the homeowner complete flexibility over brightness, timers, and ambiance. Whether it’s a quiet evening with family or a larger get-together, the lighting can be adjusted to fit the mood with just a tap.
To add even more functionality, we built a raised platform specifically for an outdoor shower—ideal for rinsing off after a swim, a run, or simply cooling down on a hot day. The deck also features three separate staircases, including two that lead directly into the yard. This layout improves flow and makes the space much easier to navigate, especially during gatherings or outdoor events.
From the ground up, this project was about more than just building a deck—it was about creating a space that works for real life. A place where style, convenience, and craftsmanship all come together.
